Vigilance

Vigilance

There are things
I have become aware of
I'd rather be without

To this end the will
reviews the self
an instrument

And through the recognition
of this pattern
the self now perceives its own history

a history of instrumentalization
as a slave of ideas and systems

that rigged the world
for destruction

The entirety of the organism buckles
at such realizations

and retreats all the way
to animality

to evade the responsibility
freedom would mean

again and again
until terminus
cancels the potential

Such is my nausea
as the night,
     that remains
     when another day goes out,
is revealed.

As if there was no eyes to see the darkness.
